North Notes introduces a cool new way to organize your ideas, work, thoughts or tasks: Nesting! Add sub-notes inside your main note and keep it all in one place.
This allows you to do cool things such as breaking down complex tasks or creating your very own “Choose Your Own Adventure” story!
Swap Some Tags
North introduces you to a powerful new tool: The Tag Search Bar. Get your Tag Search Bar to add smarts to your notes and even use it to create your own custom tags. You could create an unlimited number of custom tags on North. And North features powerful search and filter tools to help you find the precise Tag that you need. Use the Tag Search Bar to filter tags by name or type like your Time and Date Tags and Location Tags. Try Actions to access tools to add content or Tags to your note such as Location Search or the Camera.
Use the Tag Search Bar Filters to sort through your results. Select Labels to get all of your label tags and select Smart to get all of the Tags that perform functions.
To-do lists are great for getting things done, and not missing a spot. North comes with a powerful way to create lists within any note: Nested Notes. North Notes are infinitely nest-able! This allows you to break down big, complex to-do items into layers of simpler and simpler sub-tasks. Making your next big project that much more executable.
Nested Notes can contain anything from a simple to-do to a fully-fledged section of multiple subtasks.
North is your labelling dream come true. You get an array of different tag families that you could use from standard text tags like hashtags to unique text tags only found on North.

North Notes operates within the Apple iCloud framework. This means that all of your data is stored only on your device and your Apple iCloud Account. Both of these data stores are protected by Apple.

Automating Your Thoughts
You don’t always have a pair of free hands to note down a new thought. And that’s where North with the powers of Siri comes to the rescue.
Get North to work with Siri the way that you like by creating your own custom Siri Shortcut. You can create Siri Shortcuts in your Shortcuts App.
In addition to being a great place to look for your notes, you can also use Spotlight to locate your frequently used Siri Shortcuts for North.
You can create a new note by simply tapping on your shortcut in Spotlight.
You’re not always ready to handle a newly delivered notification. And North gets it.
Long-press or view more options on your system notification from North to access some common actions right from your lock screen.

Morning coffee rituals, weekly grocery runs, weekend squash: we know you have routines and North loves routines.
North removes the complexity of settings and introduces you to a simple concept: Repeat Tags. Add any number of combinations of Repeat Tags to your notes, like Weekly, Tuesdays, Weekends or the MVP of the bunch, The Daily.
Some routines and lists happen on multiple days, like your best friend’s wedding, or more frequently, your gym schedule, yoga classes and even the common household chores.
North lets you schedule for multi-day events and routines with support for multiple Date and Time Tags and Repeat Tags in each Note.

If you want to make a note notify you when you are near a particular location, such as your local Walmart, just add a Location Tag along with a Geofence Tag to the bottom of your note.
You can tap on any Location Tag in your notes to view it your preferred maps application.
